Eyebolts
Eyebolts are utilised in countless applications; and are used along with various types of lifting gear, or items that cannot be lifted by hand or forklift. Lifting Gear Direct can provide various kinds of eyebolts with a range of characteristics for specific applications, such as long shank eyebolts, dynamo eyebolts, and collared eyebolts, all available in metric or BSW sizes from M6 up to M27. We can additionally supply eyebolts with oval and/or egg shaped reevable links. Eyenuts and Bownuts are also available.
All our eyebolt products are produced from drop forged high tensile steel and are self coloured as standard, but can be Electro-galvanised or hot dipped galvanised on request. Every one supplied with works certificate, plus if required an EC declaration of conformity

A Few Essential Tips For Using Eyebolts Safely
NEVER- Utilize dynamo eyebolts for oblique loading
- Use grips or wrenches for tightening eyebolts
- Reeve a sling through eyebolts or fittings fitted to eyebolts
- Force hooks, etc in to the eye, fittings should fit freely
- Shock a load
- Use a single eyebolt to lift loads that rotate
ALWAYS- Inspect prior to use and ahead of storing
- Choose correct eyebolt for the intended application
- Align the plane of the eye accurately, use shims if needed
- Make sure the eyebolt and hole are compatible and strong enough to take the load
- Handle and store in the approved manner
- Have eyebolts inspected and tested on a regular basis
