Manual Chain Hoist's / Chain Blocks

Our Chain Block range includes the VS Plus & the Yale lift 360 models that combine all the features expected by the user; Quality, Safety & Performance at an economical price.

Extremely low overall height allows optimal use of available headroom. The enclosed, robust steel plate housing means the unit can be used outdoors. The drop forced suspension & lead hooks that yield under overload instead of breaking are made from non-ageing, high tensile steel. The hooks are fitted with robust safety latches & are free to rotate 360 degrees.

All our hoist brakes use asbestos free friction discs. The alloy steel link chain is zinc plated & in accordance with national and international standards and regulations. All units are supplied with a test certificate showing the serial number and an operating instructions manual which contains an EC declaration of conformity

Yale lift 360 Revolutionary hand chain hoist design!

With our innovative new design the Yale lift 360 opens up a new world of safety for the operator. The range of applications as well as the operating conditions have been changed by a revolutionary hand chain guide system. The key to this innovation is our revolutionary 360 degree rotating hand chain guide which allows operation of the hand chain from virtually any position, even in extremely confined areas. The Yale lift 360 can be operated at the side of the load or from any other position including horizontal pulling. The plane between top and bottom hook must always be in a straight line. More flexibility gives greater safety - operators can now work outside of the immediate danger zone reducing the risk of operator injury. The special load brake eliminating the conventional 'ratchet and pawl' mechanism used in other manual hoists, results in less maintenance.

The robust all-steel construction has roller or ball bearings fitted to all rotating components. This reduces friction and increases efficiency. The hoist is epoxy resin coated as standard.

Features

The hand chain cover with special slots and the optimal design of the hand chain wheel prevent the hand chain from blocking and derailing. Hardened load chain sheave with four precision machined pockets. Two guide rollers and one chain stripper ensure accurate alignment of the load chain over the load sheave. All brake components are manufactured from high quality materials and are zinc plated and chromalized for added corrosion protection.

All models from 1000 kg can be optionally equipped with an overload prevention device in the form of a slip clutch which is factory preset to approx 25% +/- 15% overload. This device can be fitted at a later date without problems. Chain container for hoists up to 5t available. Zinc plated design for applications which demand higher standards of protection against corrosion e.g. food processing, farming or sewage treatment. Rust and acid resistant load and hand chains.

The Tower lift ES is a further development of the Tower lift. Like the Tower lift the model ES is provided with a chain reeving system specifically designed for the stage/entertainment industry. This allows operation in standard hoist configuration as well as in inverted mode.

  • The hoist comes with revolving chain container which can be fully used in standard hoist configuration as well as in inverted mode.

The Tower lift is the inverted version of the Yale lift 360 and specifically designed for operation on traversing tower systems

  • The unit is provided with a special chain guide and a totally enclosed housing.
  • The basic version of the Tower lift offers capacities of 1.000 kg and 2.000 kg.

The hand chain hoist Model Yale lift LH with integrated low headroom manual trolley is the consequent further development of the Yale lift IT. Wherever an even smaller headroom is essential, the Yale lift LH is the ideal choice

  • The specially developed chain reeving system and chain guide allow the bottom block to be pulled laterally to the hoist even further up and almost against the beam flange.
  • The integrated design of the innovative Yale lift LH uses the same manual trolleys as incorporated in the Yale lift IT series.

  • The low headroom version of the Yale lift IT is adjustable to fit a wide range of beam profiles (e.g. INP, IPE, IPB).
  • The trolley wheels are designed for a max. beam profile incline of 14 % (DIN 1025 - Part 1).

  • The trolleys are offered for two beam ranges. Range A for a flange width up to 180 mm is standard and covers approx. 80 % of all requirements. Conversion to range B for beam width up to 300 mm can be easily accomplished.
  • A subsequent conversion of a Yale lift 360 into a Yale lift LH with integrated trolley is also easily possible.
