Manufactured from 7x19 galvanized wire rope this security wire has great strength and when fully covered in the PVC coating the wires have optimum protection against corrosion.
The PVC coating comes in a choice of black or clear and also affords protection against scratches and abrasion to the object you will be using it on. Another advantage to this coating is that it is much easier to keep clean.
Each security wire will have a loop / eye at each end which is also coated in PVC unless specified. These eyes enable padlocks to be easily fitted in order to safeguard your valuable items. We secure the eye with a steel ferrule which is attached to the cable using an industrial press which applies tons of pressure to the ferrule (unlike hand crimped ferrules) to ensure a permanent and strong fitting.
Our security wires offer a good amount of flexibility to enable wrapping around objects, they will not fail under correct use and cannot be broken or cut through without specialist tools.
When it comes to the different sizes available we have 3 options relating to the diameter / thickness of the cable and a number of standard length options.
Diameter options are 6mm, 8mm and 10mm, however please note that this is the actual wire diameter only, when you add on the PVC coating and additional 2mm must be added, thus the final diameter measurements will be 8mm, 10mm and 12mm respectively, so ensure your padlock will fit.
We supply our security wires in ½ metre increments starting at 1 metre and finishing up at 5 metres, however if you need a specific measurement or a longer length then please get in touch because our team can custom make a security wire to suit your needs.
