Thiele first started with only 8 employees who manufactured their chains by hand back in 1935. As the company grew and times changed more automated machines were brought allowing the employees to work more effectively with less physically demanding work. It was during the 1950s that they started to manufacture chain for the mining industry and became responsible for designing and developing mining chain rated sizes from 22mm to the larger size that is currently used 48mm. Thiele currently produces around 5000 types of chains and their accessories and are known to be one of the market leaders in this field. Thiele manufactured the longest and heaviest anchor chains in the world showing just what their products are capable of. Remaining a family run business is what allows them to keep working with a sense of tradition, working closely with their customers to ensure all lifting products are the best they can be and working together to create new products and ideas to help solve new problems. Thiele have worked hard to become ISO certified in a number of different areas and strive to help protect the environment in any way that they can. Each product that Thiele supplies goes through strict quality management systems in order to ensure safety and quality in each individual product.
