Our security cables are formed from galvanized steel wire rope in a 7x19 construction. This means there are 7 individual strands with each strand having 19 wires. This amount of wires twisted together forms a flexible yet very strong cable.
At each end we terminate the cable with an eye or loop which provides easy anchoring points for a padlock for example.
The eye is secured with a permanently fitted ferrule which has been pressed on under tons of force. If you need the soft eye/loop measurement to ensure you padlock or other securing method will fit it is 75mm, so should be large enough to fit many standard fittings. The cable will be completely coated with a PVC covering. PVC stands for Poly vinyl chloride and is one of the most widely used synthetic plastic polymers. We can cover the cable in clear PVC or Black PVC, the choice is yours. This coating provides optimum protection to the wire rope inside as well as protection against wire scratches to the object to which it is connected to.
It is worth noting that the overall diameter of the cable will increase by 2mm due to the PVC coating so make sure it will fit where you want it to fit.
