Our 48mm wide box van ratchet lashings come in a 4 metre length as standard and are ideal for securing cargo inside commercial vehicles.
This two piece kit incorporates a short length of 48mm wide polyester webbing which has a claw hook at one end and the ratchet handle at the other. The second webbing strap is much longer and has a claw hook at one end and nothing at the other. The free end is inserted into the ratchet handle for tensioning and securing the load.
Many box type vehicles have some kind of load locking tracks along the sides; this is where the claw hooks will anchor to when securing your loads. Ensure the claw hooks will fit into your specific track system before purchase. Alternatively the claw hooks can be anchored into 'D' rings.
These cargo lashings have a breaking force of 2000kg so are really strong. The lashing capacity is 1000 daN. Always match your cargo straps to the lashing capacity, NOT the breaking force.
When you are transporting cargo, regardless of the type they will move around as the vehicle moves. This can be detrimental to the vehicle stability whilst risking damage to the loads.
Using ratchet straps within your box van will keep loads from moving around. Keeping loads in place also enable you to spread the weight of the load evenly for vehicle stability.
