Why Use Cargo Protectors

Sometimes when cargo is contained in cardboard type boxes the box cannot withstand much pressure from cargo securing straps before crushing. This can cause damage to the cargo within as well as damage to the outer box making handling more difficult.

Stacking boxed loads can also cause damage if the lower boxes are not strong enough.

The use of cargo protectors can alleviate this issue by adding strong corner protection where the lashings will be pulled tight.

Another benefit to using corner cargo protectors is that they can extend the life of your ratchet straps by preventing wear damage to the webbing caused by sharp corners.

Types of Cargo Protectors

There are 5 variations of these corner cargo protectors, 3 are made from polypropylene and 2 are made from high density polyethylene (CP800LD & CP1150HD)

The two smaller protectors – CP60 & CP100 can only be used with specific webbing strap widths (60mm & 100mm respectively). The three larger models can handle webbing of any width.

Ratchet Lashings and other Cargo restraints
