Lift 10000 kg loads with out high capacity 10 tonne round sling. Supplied in the industry standard orange colour to indicate high WLL slings for easier identification. Sewn in label will provide specific identification.
One good reason to choose this round sling is that it offers a soft alternative to wires and chains. Unlike rigid metal lifting equipment, the polyester construction won't scratch, dent, or damage delicate loads. The sling's flexibility also makes it easier to handle and store, whilst the lightweight nature compared to equivalent capacity chains reduces operator fatigue during rigging operations.
These slings are able to handle very heavy loads and are very versatile due to the different ways loads can be handled. The different hitch types that can be utilised are: Straight, inline hitches are the standard and the full capacity will be achievable. Choke hitches are ideal for round or cylinder type loads but the WLL needs to be reduced to 9.6 tonnes in this scenario.
When it comes to the popular basket hitch there are 3 variations; first a basket hitch with straight sides, i.e. the sling sides sit vertically up to the anchor points (typically 2); with this type the WLL can be doubled up to 24 tonne.
The remaining two basket hitches incorporate slinging angles; if the angle is below 45 degrees the WLL will be 16.8 tonne but if the angle is between 45 and the maximum permitted 60 degrees the WLL will be 12 tonne.
The slings we supply adhere to BS EN 1942-2. Documentation can be supplied including the declaration of conformity.
When it comes down to safety our slings boast a 7:1 safety factor, this means the minimum breaking load when tested sits at seven times the stated working load limit, therefore our 10 tonner shouldn't break until approximately 70 tonnes, thus providing a fantastic safety margin for unintentional errors. That said! Never be tempted to exceed the stated 10 tonne WLL, this margin is for safety only for when the unthinkable happens.
