Our 7x19 galvanized steel wire rope comes in diameters ranging from 2mm up to 16mm with up to 10mm available to buy directly online.

Manufactured from quality galvanized steel the 7x19 steel rope is made up of 7 strands with each strand containing 19 further wires. This amount of wires gives the rope good flexibility when compared to our other ropes. For example this 7x19 construction is not a flexible as a 6x36 rope but will be more flexible than a 6x7 rope.
Given the rope construction ans amount of flexibility this rope would be ideal for use in pulley/sheave systems. It is important to ensure the sheaves are of the appropriate diameter for the rope (typically 14 -15 times the rope diameter).
The 7x19 steel wire rope is often used for things like garage door mechanisms, gym cables, control cables, winch ropes as well as crane and hoist lines and other industrial applications.
This rope has a high tensile strength, not found in some flexible ropes, the minimum breaking force factor is K=0.362. See the specification table for all the figures.
These steel ropes offer great resistance to corrosion, wear and abrasion thanks to the hot dip galvanization.
Lifting Gear Direct offer a wide range of galvanized ropes with different constructions to suit the majority of every day tasks. We also have a great range of stainless steel ropes for ultimate corrosion protection. Not sure what you need? Get in touch with our team who can offer help.
