About Stage Black Round Slings

Lifting and load handling in the entertainment business usually necessitates quite specific equipment. Not only does it incur extra regulations to follow but often the equipments is best hidden from view as to not distract from productions.

For this reason 'black' is the go to colour; why? Because it is much harder to see, even in bright lighting. One of the bigger benefits is that they won't reflect light causing glares.

Typical round slings come in a wide range of colours according to industry standards, from red and green to blue and yellow, so they can be seen and easily identified. You do not want this in a stage setting.

Stage Round Sling Specifics

There are two key parts to these stage round slings; The inner core is made up from polyester yarn fibres to provide strength and extra softness with a little give.

The outer sleeve is made from strong woven polyester and protects the inner core. Overall these slings are soft, flexible and very easy to handle whilst being very strong.

Their softness and flexibility make them ideal for delicate loads holding them securely with minimal risk of marking or damage.

Black Round Slings Available

Available in a range of effective working loads (EWL) from 0.5 metres up to 4 metres. The actual circumference of the sling will be double the EWL. Working load limits are more restricted in these black slings and come in 1, 2 or 3 tonne capacities as standard.

With a 7:1 safety factor you can be assured of high safety margins. They are safe to use in temperatures from -40 to +100 degrees Celsius. All slings adhere to BS EN 1492-1 standards and are well labelled with all the specific information including WLL, length, load chart, manufacturer, CE, UKCA and trace code. Documentation available.
