Ideal for connections in theatre and stage settings the Green pin theatre bow shackle has a matt black finish and comes in a wide range of WLL up to 8.5 tonnes.
This Green pin standard theatre bow shackle is made from grade 6 high tensile steel that has been quench and tempered for optimum strength. These shackles have a high minimum breaking load strength which is 6 x WLL, or six times the stated working load limit. This is a safety margin, not your maximum load weight allowed. Always stay within the maximum limit stamped onto the shackle.
Incorporating a screw collar to make rigging connections quick and easy, yet safe and secure. These shackles would be ideal where rigging needs connecting and dis-connecting relatively often.
There are 10 sizes available at Lifting Gear Direct; starting at 0.33 tonnes and rising in increments up to the maximum 8.5 tonne model. Full specifications can be found above.
The finish of these green pin shackles has been purposefully designed for use in the entertainment industry. The matt black coating ensures they are hard to see and that light can not reflect off them, thus there are no distractions for the audience and performers.
When it comes to conformity and certification these theatre shackles conform to BS EN 13889 (from 5t) and meet performance requirements of US Fed. Spec RR-C-271 type IVA class 2, grade A.
Works certificates, inspection certificates and declarations of conformity are available.
Theatrical productions, concert venues and other entertainment areas will understand the need for rigging equipment to be discreet so as not to distract from performances, due to been too visible or light reflecting.
