Tiger UL26 Sub Sea Lever Hoist Safety System

The new, patent pending self acting safety system works independently from the traditional ratchet and pawl set up offering ultimate safety. The SASS system is applied straight on the load sheave and will deploy as necessary in an emergency to stop and hold the load within 300mm. This means that not only is the traditional brake system protected, failure of the gearbox side of the hoist is also protected.

The quad cam pawl and ratchet system together with the unequalled load sensing torsion brake this dual brake system is second to none. Find out more about the SASS system and brake efficiency in the download guide above.

An additional safety tool on the Tiger UL26 lever hoist is the RFID system. The corrosion and impact resistant RFID chips can be linked to a Riconnect system (cloud based asset management tool) to manage use and traceability in a digitalised format.

Sub Sea Suitability

Unlike standard hoists the Tiger UL26 ratchet hoist incorporates components which are resistant to the effects of briny conditions. It is fully certified for a 54 day multi-immersion period of use. The new coating to ISO 12944 C5M incorporates an electro-plated base layer and a sand textured powder coating top layer provides a hard wearing finish to the hoist body offering optimum corrosion resistance as well as impact resistance.

Internal components also have a corrosion resistant finish and stainless fittings are used throughout. The premium grease used within the hoist ensures high performance and optimum adhesion, whilst being more environmentally friendly due to the absence of heavy metals and other harmful additives.

Tiger UL26 Lever Hoist Options

This new ratchet lever hoist from the Tiger brand is available in a range of capacities from 0.8 tonnes up to 20 tonnes. Full specifications and dimensions can be found above.

Supplied with the standard Tiger EZ check safety hooks as standard with the option of a shipyard hook on request. There are a number of other loading components available, details of which can be found in the documentation.
