The chain caddy has been designed as a portable solution for storing and handling steel chains or chain slings.
The caddy incorporates four heavy duty castors which enable the caddy and chain to be moved around the workplace efficiently whilst reducing the risk of wear and damage to the chain. They also alleviate muscle strains that can be caused from dragging heavy chain.
This chain caddy comes in a flat pack style system. The kit includes the caddy frame, 4 castors and a fixing kit. Your chain caddy can be set up and ready to use in minutes thanks to the straight forward assembly. The dimensions of the caddy are 400mm(w) x 400mm(d) x 865mm(h) and has a capacity of 250kg. Fully tested with certification.
This chain caddy incorporates a central partition which is really useful when you need to separate 2 different chains but have them both ready to use when needed.
At the top of the rear section there are two neat supports where a master link can sit making it easily accessible for quick connections. The master link is usually connected to the chain so all you need to do is wheel the caddy over to your crane and hoisting system and subsequently fit the hoists load hook to the master link. Once fitted you can raise the chain/sling out from the caddy quickly and easily. Once free from the chain caddy simply roll it out of the way any you are ready to anchor your chain to your load. Job done.
