This 10mm winch rope is typically better suited to larger winches and comes in a number of lengths between 10m and 30m. A number of end fitting options are also available so you can configure a winch cable to best suit your requirements.
We use 7x19 construction steel wire rope that has been hot dip galvanized to produce our winch ropes. The galvanization process adds a Zinc coating to offer good corrosion protection. The rope construction provides a good balance between strength and flexibility, thus ideal for winch drum winding and load pulling. Having a steel centre provides good crush resistance too. The minimum breaking force factor comes in at K = 0.362, and is available in 2 tensile strength cable; 1960 is the standard or 1770 is available should you require a slightly softer rope.
When considering the end termination or fitting think about the type of load you will be handling. All our winch ropes are supplied with a fuse and tapered end which fits to the winch and an eye at the loading end which incorporates a steel thimble for optimum eye stability and rope protection on this heavy wear area. Your choice of additional fittings include a safety hook which will be permanently fitted to the thimble eye during manufacture and is not removable. If you would prefer a removable connector then choose the shackle option, they are quick and easy to fit and remove yet provide a robust connection point between two objects.
Winch cable comes in many diameters from 6mm to 13mm if this 10mm is not quite right for your winch. If you would rather have a different type of end termination then just ask, we make them in our own workshop so can usually make up any assembly you require, all tested!
If you also need a winch, we can supply those too; we have an excellent range of both manual and electric winches to choose from. A good alternative may be a very versatile, portable cable pulling machine, the Tirfor type; available in 800, 1600 or 3200kg versions.
