Our 1x19 galvanized steel wire rope can be purchased online in diameters ranging from 1mm up to 5mm, however if you need a thicker rope we can supply the 1x19 in diameters up to 26mm on request.
Having just 19 single strands of wire, the 1x19 wire rope is fairly rigid in construction, however it has great tensile strength. When it comes to stretch properties, with the 1x19 its minimal.
Think of the rigidity as a feature not a limitation! The inherent properties make the 1x19 wire rope ideal for static or semi-static applications, marine rigging, guy wires, balustrades, cable railings and other tasks that require strong and stable support.
This durable rope is not only resistant to deformation, its corrosion resistant too, thanks to the galvanization process of the high grade steel.
A further standout quality of 1x19 galvanised wire rope is its minimum breaking force factor. Calculated using a factor of K = 0.525, this gives you a reliable and consistent strength rating across every diameter available. So a 5mm rope would be the calculation 0.525 x 5² = K, for example. Refer to the specifications to see all the data for each rope size.
At Lifting Gear Direct, not only do we supply stainless and galvanized wire ropes we can also make them up into bespoke assemblies with a huge choice of end terminations, so if you need a quote for a specific project get in touch — we are happy to help you find the right rope for the job.
