This 7x7 black wire rope is ideal for stage and theatrical tasks that require a more rigid rope. 2mm to 12mm diameters available in any length.
Due to the lower number of wires in this 7x7 construction it is more rigid than ropes like the 7x19, however it does have a moderate flex and classed as a rope with medium flexibility.
The 7x7 black wire rope is made up of 7 strands containing 7 wires all twisted together and galvanized for good corrosion protection.
The blackened finish makes it non-reflective and therefore stage lighting will not reflect off it. The benefits of this are huge! Audiences will not notice the ropes as they are used in a range of rigging applications around the stage set. They are designed to blend into the background so as not to distract from the performance.
Lifting Gear Direct can supply the 7x7 blackened wire cable in diameters ranging from the smallest 3mm up to our largest 12mm diameter rope. Length options are more or less unlimited.
The ends of the rope will be unfinished, however if you would like a specific termination please give us a call, we have our own workshop so any end fitting can be added to your liking, whether a simple fuse and taper, thimble eye or socket fitting.
