Developing lifting gear for over 50 years Tiger equipment can be found globally and the range of Tiger lever hoists / pull winch are made from high quality components to ensure optimum safety.
About Tiger Lever Hoists
Tiger ratchet lever hoists undergo a thorough testing program which includes strength testing, continuous cyclic testing and more. All major components have been heat treated and precision machined to ensure that optimum operation occurs long term. The high gear ratios also ensure any physical effort when using the lever hoists is kept to a minimum.Overload protection is provided in the form of a slip clutch, this works by preventing lifting the load any further should it be overloaded. If overloaded, the clutch will slip inside the chain wheel; this will allow the lever to be operated without engaging the gearbox. Lowering the load will still be possible.
The brake system on Tiger ratchet lever hoists boasts a special patented design of a quad cam pawl system (fitted to the PROLH & SS11 lever hoists.) The system ensures one of the pawls is always engaged in the ratchet wheel. With a reciprocating action ensures the pawl is forced into the gear even without a spring. Unlike a standard design where failure can occur if a spring is eroded, or a load shocks the pawl out of the gear.
