Grade 80 chain slings differ slightly from grade 8! Essentially they can do exactly the same thing, however these grade 80 slings MEET the WLL performance of BS EN 818-2 requirements whilst grade 8 wholly conforms to it with full certification. Your choice will depend on your needs and working environment and ethics.
Lifting Gear Direct can set up your sling to meet your needs. Firstly choose the size of chain you need with the right working load limit (WLL) for your loads. WLL start at 1.5 tonnes for the 7mm diameter chain, the top size of 32mm can handle 31.5 tonnes.
Your choice of link will be matched to the chain accordingly, with the price including the master link and connectors where necessary. Loading hook options include standard sling hook with sprung safety catch; swivel self locking hook; Clevis self locking hook or a Clevis 'C' hook; shortening eye grab hooks can also be incorporated into the master link for chain shortening scenarios.
